Beware of Dog! 小心有狗!

As a stranger entered a little country store, he noticed a sign warning, "Danger! Beware of dog!" posted on the glass door。

   Inside, he noticed a harmless old hound dog asleep on the floor beside the cash register。 "Is that the dog folks are supposed to beware of?" he asked the owner。

   "Yep, that's him," came the reply。 The stranger couldn't help but be amused。 "That certainly doesn't look like a dangerous dog to me。

   Why in the world would you post that sign?" "Because," the owner explained, "Before I posted that sign, people kept tripping over him!"

一名陌生人走进一家乡间小商店，看到玻璃门上帖着的一个告示牌上写着，“危险! 小心有狗!” 进去后，他看到一条样子一点都不凶的老狗趴在收款机旁边的地板上睡觉。

Tom had this problem of getting up late in the morning and was always late for work。

   His boss was mad at him and threatened to fire him if he didn't do something about it。 So Tom went to his doctor, the doctor gave him a pill and told him to take it before he went to bed。

   Tom slept well, and in fact, beat the alarm in the morning。 He had a leisurely breakfast and drove cheerfully to work。

"Boss", he said, "The pill actually worked!"

"That's all fine" said the boss, "But where were you yesterday?"

The tiger after hearing what the deer said, laughed and said " haha, then i should really eat you !

“因为我是国家一级动物！”老虎得意地说。

二、求一篇以怎样学习英语为题的短篇英语作？

  Learning English just like learning any other language, is hard work so my first advice is to spend much time practicing using English every day。

   Besides, we should listen to the teacher and take notes carefully in class。 Go over what is learnt regularly and finish doing our homework carefully。

   Listen to English radio programmes, read English stories and newspapers, watch English films and TV programmes ,keep a diary in English and attend English debbates and speech contests。

   If we make mistakes, correct them at once and try not to make the same mistakes。 What's more, we should look up new words in the dictionary before class and prepare each lesson carefully before class。

   I believe if we work hard and have good ways of learning English, we will learn English well。 English is the most important language in the world and it is one of the most important subjects in junior high so we should learn it well。

  Learning English just like learning other language, is hard work so we should spend lots of time on it every day。 We should have good ways of learning English, such as listen to the teacher carefully,review what is learned regularly, prepare each lesson carefully before class, do our homework carefully, copy good sentences and recite them and attend English debbates and speech contests。

   What's more,it is very useful to listen to English programs and read English magazines and books。 When we make mistakes, correct them at once。

   Don't be shy of asking others for help when we have difficulties。 I believe" practice makes perfect"。 I am sure if we study hard, we will learn English well。

  In my opinion, learning a foreign language needs perseverance。 As we know, when we learn a foreign language, we may come across many troubles which may be unconquerable to many of us; therefore, faced with difficulty, many of us get cold feet。

   However, if we insist on what we are doing and never give up, however diffult the problems are, we can overcome them。 Besides, I also think belief is of great importance。

   Belief in ourselves can help grow energy and courage which can lead to our ability to solve problems。 Whenever meeting the complicated questions, just tell yourself you can do it, only if you don't give up。

   Last but not least, never be afraid of failure。 As the old saying goes, failure is the mother of success。 Sometimes when we know what we cannot do well, we can do it better next time。

   To some extent, failure is the force that drives us to the way of success。 All in all, those are some basic rules when you are learning a foreign language。
